| Dr. Panagiotis Nomikos, born
in 1961, has twelve years experience in Information Technology
and Management. He received a B.Sc. in Physics from the University
of Athens in 1984 and a Ph.D. in Computer Sciense from
the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences of the University
of Sussex, UK, in 1988. He has been a Research Engineer
at Unilever Research at Port Sunlight, Wirral, UK,
and in 1992 – 95 he participated in the establishment
of Stelmar Tankers as the I.T. Manager. In 1995 –
96 he had been an Office Automation Specialist with ABC
Systems & Software S.A., one of the largest Systems
Integrators. In 1997 he established P. Nomikos & Associates
and concurrently he established Netshipbrokers.com,
a pioneering maritime online Chartering service that today is
the most experienced and largest service of its kind with over
6,000 maritime professionals who have become Members, from 100
countries world-wide. He is the Director of P. Nomikos &
Associates and he has participated in all the projects of the
company. He is also a Professor of Information Technology at
the New York College (the Athens branch of New Paltz
College of the State University of New York) and he has published
several articles at the New Economy Observer monthly
journal and the DigitalShip monthly journal related
to Shipping ICT.
Stelios Sbyrakis, born in 1964, has twelve
years experience as Technical Director with Information Technology
companies. He holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from
the Metsovion National Technical University of Athens.
He started his career in Pan Drive, a company developing
a vehicle navigation system. In 1994 – 97 he has been
the Technical Director of Syndesis Ltd, a company
developing fuzzy logic software systems. In 1997 – 2001
he has been the Technical Director of Netwave S.A.
that provides integrated frontline solutions for retail and
warehousing I.T. systems, and he has also worked in numerous
other I.T. projects as a consultant.
